FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHY IS MY WATER CLOUDY?

More than likely you have a filter that is dirty or damaged. Pool filters have to be functioning properly to keep water flowing and algae at bay. You may also have a low chlorine level or a circulation deficiency.

HOW DO YOU KEEP THE POOL FROM TURNING GREEN?

Keeping a pool from turning green includes proper Chlorination, Filtration, and Circulation. You need chemical agents to kill algae - chlorine. Effective and unobstructed filtration will remove debris from the system. And a circulation rate above once a day is vital to keeping your pool from turning into a pond.

WHAT IS THE PROPER WATER LEVEL?

The ideal water level is half way up the skimmer. If the water line drops below the skimmer, your pump may lose prime and you run the risk of motor damage.

WHY IS MY FILTER MAKING SO MUCH NOISE?

Well, it’s not your filter, it’s probably your pump motor on its last leg. Pump motors wear out,

some do not last more than two years while some make it six or seven years. A good average is four years.

DO I NEED WEEKLY SERVICE?

Remember, you get out what you put in.If you do not manage the chemistry in your pool you run the risk of infections to family members. Likewise, if you physically do not clean your pool, build up affects both the health and aesthetic status of your pool. So pretty much someone needs to take care of the pool. We are happy to do that.

HOW DOES A SALT POOL WORK?

Salt pools contain 1/10th the amount of salt you find in the ocean. Many people love the feel of salt water too. Salt is added to the pool and then broken down to chlorine. The chlorine is then reintroduced into the pool to kill algae.
